BMID and customers are experiencing an excess of dirt, silt, and grasses in the system. The BMID irrigation water comes straight from the river, and it is extremely dirty at this time. This happens for various reasons and varies from year to year and month to month. BMID filters out larger debris and some sediment but not all.
The crew will continue to diligently clean the BMID filters and flush in areas daily to help reduce dirty water as much as possible. Please make sure at this time you are cleaning your filter more than usual. Before calling make sure you check or have cleaned your filter first for no water or low pressure/flow.
